The art of fishing requires a lot of patience. If you master the rod, you can catch anything.
Its so nice today. A high tide, colder waters, a nice time… Its so peaceful, not a noise around me. The only problem is I havent caught any fish in what felt like… an hour maybe. Its bugging me. Where are the fish? The water here is very murky, so I cant see anything passing by.
Where are the goddamn fish?
I can feel myself dozing off a bit, until I hear footsteps.
"Hm?" I exclaim, I turn around and see a white and red humanoid. They have eye stalks that peered over his head, and red squishy tendrils curling from their scalp.
"Haiii! Hello!" I joyfully wave, nice to see someone around here! I almost never see people coming to the river.
They nervously wave back "Oh uh. . . hello!" They scratch the back of their neck as they sit beside me, looking at the water. Then, they put a strange radar into the dirty liquid.
I decide to speak up, "Soooo. . . what brings you here?"
"Looking for a fish," they respond.
"Ooo what kind? I can probably help!-"
"Im not going to say."
Why dont they wanna say what the fish was? Oh well, probably shouldn’t bug them about it.
I continue, "Do you like fishing? You dont have a rod or anything? Are you new to fishing?"
They stop responding
We end up sitting there awkwardly together in silence. Man, I have no idea how to speak to him. Until he just gets up and walks away, no goodbye? Aw. . .
